English: The National Slate Museum at Gilfach Ddu This photo, taken from the top of Vivian Quarry, gives a rockman's eye view of the old quarry workshops at Gilfach Ddu. These buildings, built to the same plan as Fort St George in Canada, were completed in 1870 and replaced the yard buildings at Feiar Injan. The tall building at the back houses the water wheel. The workshops are now home to the National Slate Museum.
